Add Helpawy to WordPress

Put your agent on every page of your WordPress site with one snippet. The free WPCode plugin is the simplest way.

Steps

  1. Copy your snippet

In Helpawy, open your agent’s Install tab and copy the code. Your agent’s own key is already in it.

    <script src="https://helpawy.com/widget.js"
      data-agent="your-agent-key" async></script>
  2. Add your website to the agent

On the same tab, under “Where it can appear”, add your WordPress site’s address. The chat only shows on websites listed there. www. and the bare address count as different websites, so add both if you use both.

  3. Install WPCode

In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New, search for “WPCode” (Insert Headers and Footers by WPCode), then install and activate it.

  4. Paste the snippet in the footer

Go to Code Snippets > Header & Footer, paste the code into the Footer box, and select Save Changes.

  5. Check it’s working

Open your website in a new window. The chat button appears in the corner of every page. Ask it a question to try it.

Troubleshooting

The chat button doesn’t appear.
Check your website’s exact address is listed under “Where it can appear”, including www. if you use it, and that you published your site after adding the code.
I’m on WordPress.com.
Plugins need a paid WordPress.com plan (Personal or above). Install WPCode the same way, then follow the same steps.
I deactivated WPCode and the chat disappeared.
The snippet is stored by the plugin, so it only loads while WPCode is active.
Can’t add code at all?
Share your agent’s own link instead: it works without installing anything.
